Krisztina Vas MD works at the Cell Biology Laboratory of the Department as a 2nd year PhD student. Her scientific application has been awarded with 1st prize from the Medical Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Szeged Region) in 2011. The title of her application: Alpha5 integrin and its ligand, the oncofetal fibronectin (EDA+FN), are differentially expressed in psoriatic uninvolved skin compared to healthy skin both before and after mechanical stress. In order to better understand psoriasis pathomechanisms she compared gene and protein expressions in psoriatic uninvolved and healthy skin in response to mechanical stress.
